What if I run low on air early?

Signal your guide; we’ll manage the ascent and safety stop safely for you while the group continues with another guide. If you’re concerned or want to extend your dive time, you can use the double tanks we provide for longer underwater exploration.

Do certifications expire?

No, your C card is valid for life. If you haven’t dived in 12–24 months, we recommend a refresher for safety.

Will I be with a guide?

Always. All dives are guided by certified divemasters/instructors; our usual ratio is 1 guide per 4–5 certified divers.

Can non-swimmers try scuba?

Yes, on a Discover Scuba experience in calm, shallow water with close instructor supervision. Comfort in water still helps.

How long does a dive last?

Typically, 40–60 minutes depending on depth, conditions, and your breathing rate. We always surface with a safe reserve of air.

Can I dive with glasses or contact lenses?

Objects appear larger and closer underwater due to light refraction, so many divers find their vision is clearer than expected. However, if you still need vision correction, we offer prescription mask lenses for purchase that match your required diopter

I’m nervous. What if I panic underwater?

Totally normal, our team is highly experienced in helping divers build confidence and manage stress. We pay close attention to each diver’s comfort level and guide you step by step, starting on land, until you feel fully prepared to enter the water calmly and safely. We start shallow, practice breathing calmly, and go at your pace. You can signal to stop or surface any time.

Do I need a medical check?

You’ll complete a standard medical questionnaire. If you answer ‘Yes’ to any item (e.g., asthma, heart, or ear issues), a doctor’s clearance is required before diving.

How old do you have to be to dive?

Ages 8–9 can do shallow pool/lagoon programs; 10–14 can earn Junior certifications with depth limits; 15+ can do standard Open Water maintained equipment and always prioritize conservative dive profiles.

Is scuba diving safe?

Scuba diving is generally considered a low-risk activity compared to many other outdoor sports. Still, it does come with inherent risks that can be managed through proper training and preparation, provided you follow the training and dive within limits. We keep groups small, brief you clearly, and use well
