Do you support eco-friendly diving?

Yes. Eco-friendly diving is an important part of how we operate at Max Divers. We visit the ocean every day, so we believe that divers and dive centres have a responsibility to protect the marine environment, respect wildlife, and reduce their impact wherever possible.

For every dive, we set aside USD 2 per diver to support the ocean and marine-related initiatives. This contribution recognises that operating a dive boat uses fuel and creates noise in the marine environment. Although diving allows us to share the beauty of the Maldives with our guests, we also understand that our daily operations have an impact. Setting aside this amount is one way we contribute back to the sea.

Eco-friendly diving also means following responsible behaviour underwater. We ask all divers to maintain good buoyancy, avoid touching coral, and never feed, chase, or disturb marine life. Coral reefs are fragile, and small actions can make a real difference to their health.

Before diving, our guides explain the important environmental rules during the briefing. We make sure guests understand how to move carefully around the reef, where to position themselves when observing animals, and why it is important to keep a respectful distance from turtles, sharks, rays, and other wildlife.
