Absolutely. Your non-diving partner is welcome to join the boat with Max Divers, subject to available space on the trip. We know that many guests travel together even when only one person is diving, and we want both of you to enjoy your time on the ocean.
A non-diving partner can come along for the boat ride, relax on board, enjoy the views, take photos, swim, or snorkel at suitable sites. Many of the areas we visit have shallow reef sections that can be enjoyable for snorkelers, depending on the conditions, current, and dive-site plan for the day.
Joining the boat is a great way to share the experience without needing to scuba dive. While divers explore underwater with their guide, non-divers can enjoy the sunshine, the open ocean, island views, and the possibility of seeing marine life from the surface. Every day in the Maldives can bring something different, from dolphins and turtles to colourful fish near the reef.
For safety, our team will always explain the boat rules and let your non-diving partner know when and where it is suitable to enter the water.
