T1
Course Objective
IANTD is one of the few agencies that introduces enriched air Nitrox from the very beginning of diver training.
This means you learn from the start how to dive with air containing more oxygen, providing a more advanced and efficient approach to your diving education.
In S1, you train using standard air cylinders.
In T1, you start using Nitrox with up to 40% oxygen, and you also complete two additional dives compared to S1.
Prerequisites
- ≥15 years old (10 for Junior)
- Medical clearance

- Open water dives
- Confined Water
- Open Water Theory
- Up to 18 meters
Required Equipment
- IANTD Open Water Nitrox kit
- Standard gear from MAX DIVERS
Just like the S1 Open Water Diver course, T1 teaches the essential skills needed to become a safe and confident diver. The course structure remains almost identical, with one important difference: instead of breathing standard compressed air, you will learn to dive using Nitrox (Enriched Air Nitrox).
